IBS has a large number of European Bibles available for mobiles at http://wap.ibs.org
The interface is only in English. Portuguese is Almeida, French I believe is the Bible du Semeur.
Here are the versions:
English NIV, English NIrV, English KJV, German, French, Castilian, Spanish, Russian, Russian East, Portuguese, Italian, Czech, Norwegian, Swedish, Slovak, Croatian, Romanian, Dutch, Hungarian KAR, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Turkish, Arabic -

It seems to me that Bible translations can be “classic” or “contemporary.” And I would think it reasonable to have one of each available in mobile format for free.

I am quite concerned about the use of the name mobible for this blog. It is an excellent brand name but overlaps with mobible.org. On one hand that could be good if we felt that this project should “adopt” mobible.org. But I personally feel that we want this collaborative project to not be about a product but about a concept. I think we should be strategizing about how to proliferate mobile Bibles and encourage rather than compete with the various things already out there.
For that reason, I would like to propose that we change the name of this blog as soon as possible. And I’d also like to suggest a name that is descriptive rather than a possible “brand name.” So let’s stay away from mobible, pod bible, ibible, ubible, etc. and go for something along the lines of “mobile bible think tank” or “grassroots distribution of Bibles” or whatever. This comes down to again what we perceive our vision is for this collaboration.

There are a couple of notable things about these bios. First, I’ve listed the country where the contributor is based and primarily works. This gives a positive image of the international scope of this project. Second, I have put full names on the page together with organizations. I think this lends credibility to the project. If you are opposed to having your name listed or want to change something please let me know with an email or in the comments.
